Welcome ARDEX Americas! Groundbreaking today in Stockton
The $9 million Stockton plant, being built by Sisler & Sisler, is part of a multi-million dollar strategic project that focuses on a $25 million, five-year investment strategy for ARDEX Tile & Stone Installation Products segment.
Mike Crouch, ARDEX Americas Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer said the family-owned business originated in Germany and began operations in the United States in 1978.
"We have four plants in the US," said Crouch, "But we've never had a presence on the West Coast and we are very excited to be here." He said the site selection was based on San Joaquin County's " great logistics, raw materials, its Port and the personal relationships we developed along the way."
San Joaquin Partnership President & CEO Mike Ammann called the event "another great day of teamwork in San Joaquin" and said ARDEX's training aspect is beneficial to the whole region.
Crouch said the training facility will draw 2000-3000 contractors a year for technique training in ceramic installation. He said the ripple effect in hotel and restaurant revenue in the County will be substantial.
We welcome ARDEX Americas to San Joaquin USA!
